Brad Alexander

Brad Alexander is the composer of See Rock City & Other Destinations (published by Samuel French), winner of the 2011 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical, and recipient of six Drama Desk nominations, including Outstanding Music, the Richard Rodgers Award from The American Academy of Arts and Letters and the The BMI Foundation Jerry Bock Award.

Mr. Alexander also wrote the music and orchestrations for Theatreworks USA's Click, Clack, Moo (Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominee), the music for Just So Stories and Martha Speaks, and songs for Duck For President, Fly Guy & Other Stories and We The People: America Rocks! (Lortel Award nominee). His music has been featured on Sony Records, VH1's "Celebreality" campaign, SiriusXM's Stage Door Supper Club and the hit web series Submissions Only.

Currently he is scoring episodes of PBS’s Peg + Cat, and he and Jill Abramovitz (book and lyrics) are developing Bread & Roses, a musical adapted from the film by Paul Laverty and Ken Loach. He and Jill also wrote “Kind Of Crazy” for the series finale of Submissions Only, which appears on the show’s soundtrack recording, released in 2015.

Mr. Alexander is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Association International, National Alliance for Musical Theatre, Dramatists Guild of America and member Emeritus of The BMI Musical Theatre Workshop.
